New CEO Announcement & Management Restructure

As of May 2018, Stuart Presgrave has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of AFN Solutions, A Telstra company.


“This is an extremely positive move for AFN Solutions and I’d like to congratulate Stuart on his appointment” said Darren Ruger.


“Stuart is well qualified and I’m confident that he’ll continue to strengthen and grow the business in Australia.”


Stuart has 28 years experience in IT and Telecommunications, including time spent as a Network Engineer, Enterprise Architect and Executive Manager. He has worked in multiple industry verticals with time served in Transport (at TNT), Banking and Finance (Westpac and St.George) and Telecommunications (Telstra). Stuart has successfully lead large teams (of up to 700 staff), run large budgets (up to $65mil), transformed and restructured businesses, established offshore delivery centres, and executed large programs. Most recently, Stuart lead the BTS Security Services team at Telstra where he grew the Telstra professional services business in the cyber security space by 200% over two consecutive years.

Chief Technology Officer, Darren Ruger retains overall responsibility for the technology innovations, services and R&D ascertaining to the future of our great company.


Also as part of the management re-structure, several new Account Managers have been appointed.

 

Expanding our technical capabilities and building new team in Victoria


In response to the incredibly exciting and buoyant Smart Cities market in Victoria, Josh Zlotin has been appointed as State Manager. We are very fortunate to have Josh on board with his vast experience in delivering key outcomes for city airports ensuring optimal ground traffic management systems. His insight into low voltage electronics, CCTV, vehicle and people access management solutions, licence plate recognition fixes as well as mobile systems is a great addition into expanding AFN’s capabilities across the state.

Strengthening our QLD


Our Queensland branch


Anna Campling is strengthening our QLD team. Moving into an Account Management role from an Operations & Admin Support role at AFN where she worked since early last year, this is certainly an exciting field Anna is keen to explore. Having worked mainly in customer solution-focussed positions, Anna specialises in delivering exceptional customer care with a fair and honest approach. Her experience as an Operations Manager within a very large retail company will certainly come useful when it comes to contract management. “Building my passion on the AFN brand, providing next generation technology and a focus on delivering smart solutions is a movement I am thrilled to be a part of” Anna comments on her new role.


Bringing integrated solutions expertise into our QLD team


Another recent addition to our QLD team is QLD Business Development Manager Mark Irwin-Pack who brings with him over ten years of experience delivering integrated solutions to government infrastructure and premium A-grade commercial customers.

Mark’s wealth of know-how in integrating various building, energy and security systems into single platforms aligns well with our Smart Cities solutions portfolio.

AFN boosts the NSW sales team


All the way from Perth, WA, we also welcome Marcus Rebbettes to the NSW team as Account Manager. Marcus is looking forward to utilise his previous skill set gained in commercial and government security, safety and emergency management in delivering innovative security solutions. Marcus has established himself as a specialist Security and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professional across the Defence and commercial sectors and has forged a reputation as a proactive operator, capable of initiating and implementing security and OHS policy in accordance with Australian National Standards. In his business development capacity, Marcus has experience in tendering for new business opportunities and is a licenced Security Consultant.

Newest branch gets a boost


Restructuring also sees a change in AFN’s newest branch (Adelaide) where Douglas Banks takes on the BDM role for South Australia. Doug boasts over ten years industry-wide knowledge covering technical product know-how, wireless networks, solution integrations and service and installation of security, communication, RADAR and CCTV systems.
